Ac/Dc... still going strong.
 

It amazes me that a band of idiots can be so successful for so long and NOT change their style to fit what's popular. I mean idiots in a good way, just a bunch of fools having a great time and doing it for the fun of it, not for fame, money, etc.

I absolutely love their music.

They have no therory and no image to attain. Just pure rock and roll for the masses.

Even at 50+ years of age the members still remind of of good 'ol boys just having fun.

Back In Black, For Those About To Rock and High Voltage are fucking matserpieces of what rock and roll is all about. Having a good time and just not giving a fuck. Plus, nobody gets hurt listening to their music... well except Bon Scott, but he died for reasons that didn't pertain to the music itself, just his lifestyle.

Today's music is about violence, being a slut and getting depressed.

Sure Ac/DC is all sexual content but come on, can you really take "Let Me Put My Love Into You" and "Little Lover" seriously? Go out and catch aids then say "ACDC MADE ME DO IT!!!!"?? Nope.

I'm proud to say that I am putting together a kickass Ac/Dc cover band with very seasoned musicians. Can't wait to see how it goes. It's all just for fun, nothing serious. The way music should be.

Im a dedicated metal head, and by metal I mean AC/DC, KISS, VanHalen and the list goes on and on, hell I have my daily tangent of classic kick ass hair band music from the mid and late 80's. Todays shit sucks and will never stand the test of time, wont fuckin happen. I can jam me some winger, warrant, def leppard, ratt, poison for days on end. they are one of few bands that was able to get a new singer and keep making great music. i love bon scott. but if there was anyone else i could pick to sing ac/dc it would be brian johnson

I seen them when they first started touring,way back in the 70's with Aerosmith..they blew them out of the water ..Bon was the man

After they released "Who Made Who", they seemed to lose their touch with me.

I still like the band. I love just what you said about them too that they stand on their own completely and buck all the trends. Imagine Brian Johnson on American Idol! They'd say he's "the worst singer I ever heard" but Rock and Roll is about style man and AC/DC has got it in heaps.

I have a couple ACDC concert DVDs and they are almost weekly viewing for myself, my wife and the kids...it's like family night...my kids are dying to see ACDC live if they ever tour again and hit anywhere near Vegas (even my 4 year old son is an ACDC fanatic and started asking us to call him Angus)

we need to jam together again, man, all ACDC tunes and I'll brush up on the complete lyrics ;-)

You know, even the razor's edge is a pretty good album. Maybe not as good as the rest before it but damn, still good stuff. Very melodic I find.

Angus still wears the schoolboy outfit on stage too - although I understand he now wears Depends underneath it.

Hehe...nah, they still got it, especially live. I saw them several times, although only once with Bon Scott.

theyre more than a good time band, they wrote and played some serious original hard rock that will stand the test of time like zeppelin, the beatles and hendrix.

the records highway to hell and back in black are rock n roll mastrerpieces -

high voltage does not come close to these 2 records - let there be rock blows away high voltage

you must not have read enough of bon's lyrics cause he wrote the same shit ya hear todays bands sing about. it may be a little different but not much really - fucking chicks, fighting, drinking, partying, depression and social stuff - he sang about the way he lived and he died the same way god bless him - highway to hell, kicked in the teeth, sin city, the jack, whole lotta rosie, tnt, dirty deeds - dig deep man youll find more and its still relative

brians lyrics werent as good as bons but on ocassion he did write some good stuff.

I know what Bon's lyrics were all about. The difference is, it's not something intended to be taken literally to go out and do and it's apparent. Today's music glorifies these things in almost a cultish "go do it now" demeanor.
