What Certifying Authority do you recommend for SSL?
 

There are several of them available...Any recommendations?

I have used http://www.thawte.com/ for some and geo trust for others.

Aaron Comodo is the most trusted name in ssl ... it's accepted by all browsers by default.

Next after Comodo is verisign and thawte.

instantssl.com can sell you a comodo certificate for 49.00 a year. That would be my choice.

I prefer thawte myself

Verisign is DECENT

That's who I used for my certificate.
I don't know of any others though....that's who my host recommended.

What type of SSL are you looking for ?
I can tell you verisign took us 2 weeks for a rep to respond. You call verisign and they ask you which state you are in and then they direct you to a "REP" who may or may not answer or return your calls.
