Why do all TGP/MGP sites look the same?

Ok, look at these

http://www.dailyhoneys.com
http://www.n2teens.com
http://www.coedcherry.com

I mean find 10 difference between them?
Not to offend the designer. I'm talking about the concept.

Main question is: Do You want to BOOKMARK them?
I don't see the reason why.

Imagine you are a surfer caught in a CJ between such similar looking sites. After learning that every single thumb on these pages (and it usually is) linked to another similar site, would you even think about bookmarking any of them? These sites do not carry anything but the fake thumbs, who would ever want to come back to them? And yet, bookmarks is one of the most important things in TGPing.

There is not catch.

Just like with many things in this industry, there's only one explanation : saturation :(

10,000 tgps, 5 approaches, 9,995 clones

Most surfers want something they "know" (for tgp's then)
Try it yourself, try something completely different, and look at your prod%

I don't get it, how are they plan on making money off these sites?

What makes blogs so special? They are damn unique! They offer something different.
Why not make a TGP site that is offering something unique and interesting.
Is it not profitable?

Andre, I tried to pretend to be a surfer. Looking for something I'm insterested in (yes, call me a pervert). I was jumping from one site to another clicking thumbs and getting shit in return. I simply closed my browser and opened a new window. Loaded a TGP that I know is good, and has low skimming.

Loaded it from a Bookmark. Isn't it the point of TGPing? To have 50,000 bookmarks?

Well, yeah many Thumb TGPs are having very high skims to trades...
Which means they are sending a lot of traffic to trades insted to galleries. I'd say that's the key in growing a Thumb TGP site.
Im the owner of 2 Thumb TGPs and I know that from my experience ;) Having good looked thumbs and having at least 40% skim to trades means you'll get 100k in about one month (Im talking about prod. higher than 300%). But don't you wonder can you make money with such a sites.
I'd surely say NO. You can't! Actually you CAN, but really hard. You'll need at least stable 200K TGP with at least 300% prod (about 600K clicks) to make decent money.
Say something like:
40% to trades = 240K to trades and 360K to galleries....
But those 360K can't make big money because surfers are already jerked....

So getting bookmarkers is definitely the key of making money with thumb tgps.
Bookmarker can make very good prod. on your site, and he can go at least 2-3 times to gallery, which is good for you...
Jerked traffic is no quality at all. It sucks, actually. I'd say, having higher skims to galleries (at least 80%), will make you very very good money.
High skim + high prod. = quality traffic = MONEY!!

Just my 2c ;)

From a surfer POV I tried looking at quite a few TGPs before starting my own. In the end, I didn't bother (lazy ass) but I did notice far too many misleading links.

I see a page full of photos, I see a couple that look interesting, I click on the photo expecting (and hoping) to see a gallery of THAT girl/couple/whatever. Instead I get another page of photos just like the page I came from. I go back, click another one, same result. In about 20 seconds I'm frustrated and leave the site(s) for good.

It's not so much that they all looked the same (personally, I didn't care - it was the content I was lured by) but that the links didn't take me where I expected.

In my experience of both mainstream & adult is that you win a lot of brownie points with surfers if you just honestly and quickly give them what they ask:

Photo of hot teen model with caption "click here to see my photos".
When I click I expect to see her photos.
Instead I am taken to her home page and a, yawn, tour.

Text link that says "chat with me live" under a hot brunetter.
When I click I expect to be chatting with her live.
Instead I'm often taken to a signup page - and no guarantee that when I sign up she's even still working at the site, never mind actually online right now.

Simple concept but so many sites mislead, confuse, lie and misrepresent.
Shame.
