what pic size is adequate for the members???

From the past when we started our very first paysite we have a script that limits the pics to 800x600 - nowadays that seems a bit small. What size would you prefer for a site like www.lovelyvanessa.com which is based on high quality picture content? please vote above!

Make pics available in 1280x1024 if you can (downloadable zip or something).

I like 1024x768 myself..too big and it all doesn't fit in the screen

approx 1000x1500 thats what we do, never got a complaint

Funny this question should come up now..

We just finished a 2 week poll in our members area of all our sites, and the overwhelming result was 1024x768, which I found surprising, since most of our pics are in the 1500x???? range..

I think 1024 x 768 is enough for most sites.

Remember that many people surf porn with one hand anyway. ;-) an IE automatically resizes the pictures.

People don't want to scroll across their screen to see pictures.
1024x768 is the perfect res. In the future it will probably be 1280x1024 when everyone has 17" monitors, but until then 1024x768 is uber ^^

i actually make my pics so the longest side is 800.

Offer options for multiple displays and customize your CMS to allow users to set the preference. That would be perfect.

1024x768 is nice but the majority of the world lives in 800 x 600

Modern browsers usually have a nice auto sizing feature but your lower end users will still have to eat the big downloads.

its not just the size of the surfers screen, it is also the bigger the pic the longer it will take to download.
not everyone is on broadband.

i still believe that lots of people (like myself) prefer pictures. maybe not the general hardcore customer - but especially fetish customers. cause they sometimes get off on small details that you never see in clips because of size, encoding and the fact that the pic is moving.

I like puting my pictures in 800x600 because most surfers still run on it. But i do always keep a back up of all my pictures in 1280x1024 :pimp

If you do soley 800x600 customers with better equipment will be dissapointed, veteran surfers know better.
