tips on speeding and not getting caught
are these myths or truths?
please share yours 1. get a silver car,, because radar/laser detectors can't read accurately 2. always follow some guy driving fast,, if they do get caught only the lead vehicle gets a ticket 3. Your are allowed to drive 10 miles over the spead limit because Police allow a 10 mile buffer 4. More tickets are made in the last 3 days of the month because police have to meet a quota ------------------ www.NoBSdialer.com Sign up for Click Cash and Get a $50 free bonus Nice Clean Galleries |
The 10 miles buffer is more like 2 to 3 miles... and there is no quota, the less people speeding the better. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/smile.gif

You'll get a ticket for drag racing http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif This only works if the lead car is at least 500 to 1000 feet ahead so you have ample time to slow down when cruiser pulls out to chase that car.. Quote:

are you former law enforcement? cuz i would be interested in hearing some former cops also radar detectors is it worth it or useless? ------------------ www.NoBSdialer.com Sign up for Click Cash and Get a $50 free bonus Nice Clean Galleries |
radar detectors are useless..
Many depts use laser.. You need a detector that detects both radar, laser & K-band |

If stopped for speeding; to avoid getting a ticket;
When getting stopped: 1 turn on interior light: This way officer will not be in fear or feel threatened.. signal that you are pulling over..(NOT WITH YOUR HANDS)..Keep hands on steering wheel at all times! Pull completely off the road.. Cop's are afraid of getting hit by other cars.. leave room for them to stand and talk to you.. DO NOT REACH FOR GLOVE BOX OR IN YOUR POCKETS! Keep your hands on steering wheel! You dont want officer to think you're going for a weapon.. Turn car off.. Don't want officer to fear you'll flee Don't say anything at all.. Let the officer do all the talking.. Be polite..yes sir, no sir.. When he asks for license & reg.. Before you reach for it; tell officer where it is & what you're doing.. IE; it's in the glovebox, is it ok for me to open & get it.. This way he won't feel threatened & his guard will be down & no fear.. NO EXCUSES..they hear them all day..they heard them all!! Sit tight.. Wait... chances are, you'll get a warning.. ------------------ Submit Your Galleries XXX Webmaster Resources |

Lasar detectors are completely useless. With either one, by the time you hear the thing beep at you... it's already too late. You've been clocked. [This message has been edited by Amputate Your Head (edited 01-02-2002).] |

Just relax, and be honest with the guy. Don't try to bullshit him, because he knows your speed, and he's got all the proof he needs to get a conviction. So relax, and be honest & friendly. Period. If you get the ticket anyway, be nice about it, tell him "have a good day", and move on. |

If you're determined to maximize your travelling time, your best bet is a combination of things.
1. A good police scanner. 2. A good citizens band radio. 3. Travel in groups or packs or other vehicles exceeding the limit. 4. Know your route. Try to know as much about your route as possible. Troopers tend to use hiding places that have worked for them in the past. If you see something suspicious, like a rock wall with a blind corner on it... chances are, someone may be using it as a clocking position. 5. Keep an eye on the air. Planes are frequently used to clock you, then radio a trooper to intercept. 6. Use your head, your eyes, and your ears... and know when to slow down. |
One last trick for the truly desperate...
You can use a good fish finder to scramble radar. But... you'd better be cruising in a big pack of cars, because once the troopers radar is jammed, it's only gonna take him a second to figure out why, and if you are the only car going by, he already knows who has it. And if you get caught with it... you're fucked. |
ehhe thanks god i am living in Turkey
just give 5$ bribe to police |
AMP you know alot this fish finder is new to me never heard of it,,, but i didn't know descrambling was illegal because i seen those "PHASERS" for sale before

For only $100 you can get a decent radar detector. Seems to work in town for me and I've even seen the cop a few times when it went off. I think they are a great tool.
------------------ FreeNetPass Steve Protecting your site with FreeNetPass is like eating Fruity Pebbles naked in the afternoon... except we pay you $15 |
Absolutely correct Steve... radar detectors can be a good tool, when people know how to use & interpret them properly. In town, is generally the best place, because there's alot of traffic around, and it'll pick it up while clocking someone else, if it's wide enough. This is only good for the ones like motorcycle cops use though, that are the "always on" type... the instant on is the killer though.
Also, in and around cities, there are alot of false alarms. Microwaves (not ovens) and warehouse alarm systems are just a few things that can trigger a radar detector. Out on the freeways, they're good when, again, plenty of other traffic around... if it's just you cruising and the trooper's got an instant on... nothing will save you. |
Drive a Mercedes. They magically become invisible to police.

Spacedog is 100% correct. Cops appreciate this. You will not appear suspicious, they will understand what you are doing - and why.
I used to speed all the time (I don't any more) - and was pulled over about 10-15 times for speeding and only got a ticket for it once. The trick is to: 1) Do like spacedog says - pull over - turn on your light if it is night - keep your hands on the wheel - make no sudden movements and tell them what you are doing. 2) In MD at least - do NOT give them your registration. In MD - they must right up a SEPERATE TICKET for each offense. They can easily look up your registration. Apologize for not having it (I am so sorry - I used it to call for insurance rates and totally forgot to put it back). 3) Cops are people too - they deal with assholes all day. You have been nice, respectful, and whatnot - most times they will cut you a break by: WRITING A TICKET, but only for not having the registration. In MD - this used to be $15 and no points (not sure if it still is). Worse case - he or she will write a ticket for both. Most of the time they will write you one for the registration only, if you are not a jerk and don't make excuses. The 10 miles over the speed limit thing - yes they can write you a ticket, but most won't as in MD - most of the time if you go to court - they will reduce it one level (to zero) in this case. Why give a person a ticket for one point - when you can find dozens of people speeding over 10 miles and give them a ticket for 2 points. ------------------ TopBucks.com - Converting at better than 1:130 David Lace Content - Highest Quality Teen Content ConversionCash.com - Make Money off your WebTV Traffic |
The whole thing can be boiled down to moderation. As with anything else. You can gear up with all the latest state-of-the-art hardware you want, but if you think you're gonna fly across Nebraska or something at 130 mph, you're gonna get nailed.
Best thing is to pick a comfortable speed. If the limit is 65, set the cruise control for 75 or 80 max, and stay sharp. If the rest of the traffic flow is moving at 80, then keep up. The main thing enforcement wants to see is a smooth flow. They don't want to see the main stream doing 65 and you doing 35 or 105. Moderation. Around the Bay Area here, the limit on the freeway is 55. People cruise 80. No one gets busted, because that's what the flow is demanding. But if you try to slice through at 120... they'll get ya. Ya can't outrun a radio. |

I've been driving with one since they first came out. I'm a professional speeder...ask anyone who knows me. When I started my illustrious speeding career, I got 10 speeding tickets in 9 months (20 years ago). Since mastering the multiple state drivers license game, I've turned over a new leaf. I haven't gotten a ticket in 4-5 years...the radar detector saved me more times than I care to count. The times I have been pulled over, I've gotten warnings. I hate to say it, but Spacedog's tips are right on. Jammers are not only illegal, but useless. So is filling your hubcaps with tinfoil, painting your car flat black, etc. The only thing I've seen is a radar absorbing foam you can put on your car...on the outside...and it looks like a rolling brick. Fuhgedaboudit. A good detector, situational awareness and knowledge of the habits of the enemy (the Fuzz) are your best weapons. ------------------ Post your galleries here! What about on the No Speed Limit Highways?
Like in the midwest USA.. I never been to them, but heard they exist.. somewhere, like in Kansas or South Dakota or something.. Or Germany's Autobahn... ------------------ Submit Your Galleries XXX Webmaster Resources |
Quote:
Montana is the only one. And it's not "No Speed Limit". There IS a limit. The limit is "SAFE & REASONABLE". And this goes back to what I said about the flow of traffic. Sure, you can do 95 across Montana... but if everyone else is doing 65, you'll certainly get pulled over and at least get a warning. And this is only for open highway. Within the citys, there are still fixed limits. I also haven't been back there for a while now, and last I heard, they were going to eliminate that speed plan because everyone thought they could do as they please... so I don't know if it's still in effect, or if they went back to a fixed limit. |
Germany's Autobahn, at least the last time I was there.... is wide open. A true No Limit highway. I've done 150 down the Autobahn and been passed by Lamborghinis & Mercs like I was fucking parked. If you wanna really get some speed on, that's the place.
|
Germany also has a very effective speeding enforcement plan for roads off the Autobahn. They photograph you. No cops are going to pull you over. You're just cruisin' along.... and all the sudden you see a bright red flash... the ticket is already in the mail.

hey AMP,,
can you get clocked while a car is in motion behind you or coming towards you other side of the road/interstate? i always was told that they had to be stationary ------------------ www.NoBSdialer.com Sign up for Click Cash and Get a $50 free bonus Nice Clean Galleries |

They can get you while in motion too. (radar) Lasers (the last time I was out and about) still need to be stationary.
However... rain & snow seems to make the readings less than reliable. (radar again) I don't really have alot of data on this, and I wouldn't recommend speeding too much in either of those conditions, but in my experience, you're less likely to see a trooper shooting radar in the rain. |

guys i know with bmw's and mercedes say they make them look like drug dealers and unless you look 60 years old cops pull them over all the time. Plus they're for little people, all the big guys I know with them say they are squishy - personally I hate them. Drive a BIG 4X4 - easier to get away when you can run through the ditches and over the curbs that will hang up the cop cars. Only fucking problem is that the new 4X4s out there (the REAL ones, not those dinky toys) usually cost MORE than the luxery cars, but hey, you can't take your money with you when you die so why not spend it today! |
Quote:
As far as your friends go, if you look like a drug dealer before you get in the car, you'll still look like one once your in it. |
I used to own and drive some pretty fast cars, and get tickets
Someone once told me that Radar Guns had a problem with rapid changes in speed, so hammering on your brakes before they get a radar speed reading screws them up I have given up fast cars in favour of fast boats now, so I don't have to worry about being pulled over for speeding http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif ------------------ $$ You sell FREE MEMBERSHIPS $$ You Make Up To $19.47 or MORE! $$ JackThumbsTGP - - - VideoKAT-ViDeOpOsT - Post Gallieries - - - - - - - Trade Traffic - |

But as far as the guns, it's just a momentary switch on the dash. Flipped once, and it captures your speed. In the blink of an eye. Kinda like a camera. There's really no fooling it. This is why, if you ask to see the reading, most will gladly show you. And no.... don't get all hostile and demand it... because he doesn't HAVE to show you a damn thing. Be nice, and he may. |

My dad owns a small factory in Poland and when he drives there with the mercedes, he gets tailed by the cops and they keep driving behind him in their old Skoda's until he makes "mistake" ... if you don't bribe them ($20 is way enough there LOL) you can follow them to the main police office (often a 2 hour trip) to pay the little fee there ... He gets pulled over like 3-4 times before he reaches to german border to get back to belgium hehe (always expensive trips tho http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif) [This message has been edited by Viper2K1 (edited 01-02-2002).] |
Come to germany, go to the Autobahn and stop fussing around...
I LOVE NO SPEED LIMIT :-) The problem is within the cities... They park their fuckin' undercover cars everywhere to get nice photos... In the last two months I got 2 tickets... DAMN! Also, in germany scanners are not allowed and when they get u using one you're fucked - pay over 80? (yes since yesterday we got that ...hmmm... strange currency) and maybe lose your license... But Autobahn is still great. Sometimes there are a bit too much traffic jams, but it's still fun. Sometimes after driving around the cities for some weeks i need to go to the Autobahn just to drive my car at full speed - i'm drivin' much smarter in the cities after this... |
Quote:

There is only one SURE FIRE way not to get a ticket...don't speed.
Period. I used to drive professionally for a courier service shuttling rich guys cars and a ticket would have ended my job. I had to drive some hot cars too...but I never once got pulled over in over two years. However, the cop-catcher method works well. Find another guy who's hauling ass and tail him about a quarter mile back. I was driving from San Fran to Hell A in my buddies' S2000 and this crazy looking guy in an old M5 passed me going about a buck 25. I followed him a few hundred yards back and drove for like two hours at that pace until about a zillion CHP officers jumped on the guy heding the last 25 miles into LA. I cruised right by...heh heh. |

"They may be illegal, but try being a cop that doesn't find something to issue a ticket for in a month and see how long you last...""
Thats true.I have/had 4 friends who were cops,they all admited it. |

They do that in Texas too. The radar on the side of the road will snap a picture of your liscence plate, and they mail you the picture of you speeding along with the ticket. So I mailed them back a picture of $150. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/board/biggrin.gif ------------------ Did somebody say Free Content? |
