it can cause a mental addiction, and there really are people who are so addicted to it they need to get professional help. so the term drug addict does apply to some people who smoke it

besides, it may be good for your heart (in small quantities!), but it will still fuck up your lungs. 1 joint equals like 6 cigarettes

also, I smoke it to keep the edge off my day. stress is the leading cause of heart attacks.

the weed we get here is always treated with chemical stuff (like hairspray for example) to make it more potent, so yes I think the compounds are a big part of it

I don't think hair spraying your weed will make it more potent, it may make it look more potent, (crystal's on the weed)
so some people will think they are getting more stoned than they really are.
A couple of years ago some of the street dealers here would hair spray thier bunk weed in order to sell as high grade bud.

Oh please. ANYTHING in life can be mentally addictive, such as watching tv, eating, sitting in front of the computer, etc. Marijuana is the only drug I can think of that isnt physically addictive. The label of drug addict for people that smoke weed is complete bullshit and something created by agenda driven groups.

Pot ~can~ be physically addictive. Depending how much you smoke and how often etc etc.. Someone who smokes pot all day everyday can be physically sick from not having it one day called withdrawals.

I never tried any of that crap hairsprayed weed, since I do not buy my supply from street dealers, but right from the grower.

marijuana's awesome ... it acts as a mood stabilizer and also helps me because I have an eye condition with limited 3D vision, when I'm high my 3D vision restores itself somehow...

The only medical draw back that i have ever read about with weed, is the fact that it lowers your immune system. Why is this stuff still illegal, while regular ciggies are legal, it makes no sense.

While I don't smoke I believe that there is nothing wrong with weed other than it is illegal right now. If it does have genuine medicinal benefits the evil empire of drug companies will make a killing on a synthetic or regulated version of it.

I've never heard of anyone getting high on weed and beating their girlfriend. Compared to Alcohol I think weed is far more benign.

Although this is no news to us that live in California the rest of you can continue your debate about the use of marijuana....ill side with the doctors.
