How to define "high quality photos"?

Some guys think a photo has to look like a magazine photo to be high quality. I've heard, "I use Playboy as my standard" more than once.

Well, I've discovered that while Playboy photos are fine, many surfers think those photos look too slick and the girls look idealized and unreal. The primary appeal of such photos is probably to the over-50 surfer.

A more rational approach for the webmaster is to ask, "What photos keep 'em coming back?"

High quality content is content that makes you money. There is no other realistic standard, is there?
