Some MyHotBlog.com stuff
I have a basic front page up that will give you an idea of the features - I will call it a 'feature preview' rather than a 'beta'.... It will result in a lot of traffic to the blogs
Take a look at www.myhotblog.com In 2 weeks the whole project will be finished and we have done a deal with a major PPC to send 100,000 hits to this front page (it will be a lot prettier by then!)..... Its going to mean some great traffic for your blogs - you will get a lot of bookmarkers from it It will also be listed at some tgp's etc.... We are also looking for link trades, email me at [email protected] with GFY in the subject - it could take a few days to get a reply Anyway, I hope this can be a profitable venture for all concerned Thanks Damian2001 |
If you accross any problems with the site PLEASE let me know.... I think its pretty much working 100% but as things get worked on bugs could crop up
Thanks |

Here are some blogs that show what can be done, with just the basic templates.....
Notice zero banners ! http://www.myhotblog.com/wizzbang http://www.myhotblog.com/sadomasokitten http://www.myhotblog.com/SchoolgirlBrittney These are based on templates from the system.... but you can create your own with html and/or a templating language that is easy to use and comes with full and very complete instructions and help |
With a few code tweaks I can set it up so you have a subdomain instead of a url
Ie user.myhotblog.com instead of www.myhotblog.com/user What would you prefer? |
People would have to be crazy to build a blog using your system (or any other blogging system that hosts the blogs, I'm not dissing you here Damian, just warning peeps who haven't thought this all the way through). Folks, when you build a blog, much of the value that you're building is a brand name for your URL, bookmarkers to that URL, and, and a search engine traffic flow to that URL that you can later monetize.
If you build all that on a blogging service, the blogging service effectively owns it. Whereas, if you build it on your own domain, YOU own it, and can transfer, sell, or redirect the domain and the traffic at any time. Why would you do all that work to build a site somebody else owns? Crazy. Here endeth the lesson. |
