Bottoms Up for Paris Hilton
Starring in indie comedy-drama. April 04, 2005 - Socialite-turned-actress Paris Hilton has signed to star in a new indie comedy called Bottoms Up, according to Hollywood Reporter. The industry paper reveals that Hilton will co-star with Jason Mewes, of Kevin Smith movie fame. Bottoms Up, which is being produced in part by Paul Walker's Blue Collar Films, is described as a comedy-drama the vein of Swingers. It reportedly follows a Midwestern bartender (Mewes) who finds love with Hilton's character as well as money and success in Hollywood. Walker won't actually star in the film, but is expected to make a brief on-screen appearance. Nick Ballo and Erik MacArthur wrote the script. MacArthur, an actor-turned-director, is also helming. He previously directed the short film Life Makes Sense If You're Famous, starring Walker and Scott Caan. Paris, who can currently be seen in FOX's Simple Life: Interns, recently wrapped National Lampoon's Pledge This! She next stars in the Warner Bros. horror flick House of Wax. |
