Farewell to my sister in law.

I woke up yesterday to a bad phone call.

My sister in law who had been sick for a long time passed away. So I dealt with the range of emotions from my immediate family yesterday and wasn't able to log on to my work.

She was an incredible person who fought cancer for a better part of 15 years. Last year she made a decision she had fought long enough. She started refusing all treatments in December.

This woman had an incredible tolerance for pain. She made sure all her kids were grown and gone before she gave up. She touched my life in so many ways.

Some of you who met at my pennsylvania residence met her, partied with her, and got to know her.

I am not mad she gave up the fight. I will just miss her and I am glad shes in a better place.

Yes it was. I feel relief she has passed on. (not sure how much I'll get flamed for that statement)

I haven't cried for losing her. I have been trying to explain to my wife, kids and mother in law that she is in a much better place and no longer suffering.
