What format are mobile wallpapers saved in? I'm trying to find info on this. If anyone has some valuable info that would be great!

It depends on the phone as to the level of customisation, as to the sizes/formats of the images. The majority of the images are bitmaps/gifs/png's if you are just looking at wallpapers.
