I want to control my debt. Is this a good way?

I guess that it all depends on your current situation as far as how far in debt you are. The one thing that sucks about most of those places is that even though they say that they're a "non profit organization", they'll still charge you $30-$50 per month just to take your check and split it up to the people that you owe money to.

Relying on someone else to pay your bills is a serious problem, if they dont for whatever reason, your still fucked, they hold no liability :2 cents:

A debt consolidation loan is a good idea.It combines all your outstanding debt into a one lump sum payment plan.

using some of the debt consolidatoin companies may negatively effect your credit too I heard...

A better place to read about it and get advice, if you are really serious is do a search on creditboards.
