When do you kill an unproductive trade ?

How much time do you give a trade to start before killing it ? (or how many hits ?)

Off course I sent enough hits to start the trade (according to their own rules)

You mean its not sending back?

qw12er 04-03-2005 08:00 PM

no in most cases or send really bad quality traffic in other cases ...

As long as they are sending, usually a week

Give them a few days, if they don't cut it drop them.

Man that is too easy. When you are telling yourself "this is unfucking productive" Then you know. A week should be enough.

I am curious what's a "productive trade"? How many percents?

i think he meant the ratio between hits in and clicks

i usualy leave it for 48 hours but if it is extremely unproductive i delete it right in start

Well I've built my own TGP Script and I gather a lot of stats:
-HitsIn
-HitsOut
-HitsUtil (hits sent by a trade partner that actually use my site)
-HitsHardLinks (hits sent by a trade partner that clicks on hardlinks)
-HitsBlindLinks (nb of blindlinks(Click out) generated by the users a trade partner sent me)
-HitsSponsors (hits sent that clicked on a sponsors)
-HitsReturns (nb of persons who were refered by a trade parner and who return to my site in the next 10 days)

So an unproductive trade can be a trade that send less than 90% (HitsIn/HitsOut) or it can be a 100%+ trade with no traffic using my site. Can Also be a trade that generate no clicks to sponsors etc.
