Whats the most you've sent to a single site with no sales

I think its been 0:1500 to a single site before i dropped the links.

isn't 0:1500 way to low to make up your mind.

What if you get 3 signups really fast. I've seen it happen. Then, all of a sudden, you're at 1:500

would you drop them then?

Sometimes it's worth waiting a bit more, signups could catch up.

1 000 000

3 to 10k max. Try their other sites, and then drop the sponsor.

karlm 04-03-2005 07:01 PM

mikeyddddd 04-03-2005 09:54 PM

10000. But it was shit traffic to start with. Poor decision on my part.

bangman 04-03-2005 10:01 PM

Exactly. I usually try to send at least 3-4k via different banners, text links, galleries, full page ads etc before dropping a site.

About 30k, good quality traffic too. Exclusive content given to me from the program reps , for a big program actually, before the site was even launched.

Was pissed, wont ever do biz with them again.

On www.paulmarkhamteens.com we are converting 1:150, an affiliate with a membership site, sending members traffic is doing much better than that.

So why do I have an affiliate who sent 4,000 visits with no sign up?

Also have one with 2,000 and the same results.

V_RocKs 04-03-2005 10:54 PM

ATKCash... I'd thought I was 1:130,000 with them... turns out, they count clicks to GALLERIES, not their site... so in reality I am 1:14,000 so I dropped them anyway.

CDSmith 04-03-2005 10:57 PM

Some guys put up a banner and send 2000 hits and wonder why they get no signups.

Another guy, same program, will put up 3 banners in rotation, a handful of descriptive text links, an odd-sized banner on a gallery, and slip a full page add in somewhere unobtrusive on his site or on an exit, send the same amount of hits and get 3 to 5 signups, or more.

It's all in how it's sent.

SmokeyTheBear 04-03-2005 11:05 PM

I usually pull a new sponsor if they dont do 1:5000, because on a new sponsor you might do 1:3000 the first day then 1:500 the next 3 days. It always depends on the traffic. If your doing targetted adwords , the ratio would be way lower

spooky181 04-04-2005 12:17 AM

0/1500 is nowhere near enough to pull the pin. Our affiliates can go a few days at 0/1500 (not too often) then roll out 20 sales in the next 1500....
