Any CSS experts around?

I'm trying my hand at a blog, and modified a stock blogger template. http://www.balloondirectory.com/blog.html
Everything works fine as is, but when I pull it into an shtml page as an include, the 'previous posts' links disappear on mousover.
here's an example http://www.balloondirectory.com/tester33.shtml

Any idea where the conflict might lie?

further note- it works fine in mozilla but not ie

YARGH! I be swabbin' me decks, so not much time to look. I do know that some tags work in FF, but not IE. could just be one of those. If nobody helps in the meantime, I'll take a look later.

Pirate mode re-enabled:
YARGH! How 'bout me pegleg? It be long, and hard. It makes a hearty door stop!

it looks like your a:hover code is the same color as your backgrond in your style sheet

emmanuelle 04-03-2005 06:37 PM

nope :-( the hover color is 96095a. Also the hover wouldn't cause it to disappear even after moving the mouse off of the link.

Once the page is scrolled a bit, they reappear though. The craziest part is that the bottom link never disappears at all.

thanks for trying though!

when you include it .. you have <html..> <head...> blah blah .. then comes your íncluded page and you start all over with your <html..> <head....> .. that aint gonne work right ;-)

Ok i had a similar problem a while back, I'm assuming you are using the position:absolute; for the style, try using position:fixed; and see if the problem is fixed. I know its supported on some browsers but i cant remember which ones.

I see that now- any suggestion to get around it?

the position tag here is 'relative'. I tried changing it to 'fixed' but that didn't fix it :-(

I appreciate your suggestion though

add this to your stylesheet and set the attributes to match your site:

div,li {font-family:verdana;
font-size:small;
line-height:normal}

Hope it helps! :)
