thats only 830 hits a day

i said over 25k and it averages out to over 1k a day, and i would say that 95% of the traffic is bookmarkers, and s.e, and link trades i dont normally buy traffic for this site...

how can 25k average out to over 1k per day?

I think he means 1K unique per day 25K per month ... eg the missing 5K comes from people who were there on more than 1 day

i buy some 404's once maybe twice a month....... but my site pulls allot of clicks from them turning them into productive traffic.....i have many sign ups from my personal banners run on the site etc.....

yeah sure, with 404 crap traffic

404 traffic only accounts for maybe 5-10k a month.......... thats it... just an extra boost for the site from time to time.....
how would you know any how?
