I doubt you can do geoip with a client-side script.

The browser lang will sometimes have the location as a suffix, eg "en-au" (language English, in Australia) but you can't rely on that being presented, or necessarily being accurate if it is presented. You'll probably need to do what everyone else is doing. :)
