Back in the old days of GFY (October 2001) I enjoyed reading the posts and having fun while learning about the biz. People often fucked with each other but it was all done in fun. Lately there have been a lot of different personalities showing up who have made this place less and less amusing each day. People are taking things way too seriously and the joking around has been replaced with aggressive and often very personal assaults. I find myself laughing once every couple of days instead of laughing several times each day. When I do read the posts, they usually piss me off. I am tired of seeing people get shit on when they ask for help and then shit on again they take the initiative to move forward anyway.

These boards were designed to allow people to communicate in order for us to help each other grow our businesses through the sharing of experiences and ideas. They became a great place to hang out and meet new friends. The people who are here are a very valuable resource no matter if they have been in the biz for six hours or six years. We can all learn from the old school webmasters and they in turn can learn from us newbies. If it was not for new blood and fresh ideas, this business would not have grown as fast as it has.

It is a sad day when I let a public forum like this influence my life in a negative way. Because this has happened, I have decided to step away from GFY and get my focus back on the things that matter, make me happy, and help me achieve my goals. Except to announce the winner of my current Caption Contest, this will be my last thread for awhile. I still want to meet everybody who is going to Vegas. Hopefully once Internext is over, things will be back on track here and the fun and helpful times will flow freely again. Assuming that this happens, I will return and continue to be a smart ass. If, in my many attempts at humor, I have offended anybody, I am truly sorry.

This happens to everyone.
I went thru this about 3 or 4 months ago. I got all pissed off at the board, and left for about a month. I even made a similar speech.I left for the same reasons.


But he'll be back... they always come back.

I just think the BBS has a Bunch of personalities that are all the Same Person Trying to hide who they really are and they fuck with people cuase they have nothing better to do with thier time.

This board has got kinda silly over xmas - it's most likely coz everyone is on holiday and trying to relax - other boards are getting like 3 posts a day - so it's only natural that this board is gonna get strange/wierd posts at this time of year.

I agree with Aarron, this board has been a place where newbies get shit on. For the last 6 months at least. I don't frequently post on this board for that very reason. I have posted questions and inquiries here just to receive sarcastic BS comments that are pretty immature.
There are times when I get a good response and thats cool too.

There are just too many immature pissants posting here, that only take themselves serious. Well I guess they have the freedom to post as I do. Just like I have the freedom to not read and stay with other boards.

As for why Aaron was banned is beyond me. I don't believe he was telling Adult.com how to run a board any more than any other webmaster does here.

Oh well thats my piece of mind.

I think if I was to get banned for announcing that I was taking a break from a board, that would be a great indication that my time was better spent elsewhere.

Aaron's got a complex. He takes things way too personally and he's jizzing himself right now thinking how "right" he is because so many people are jumping to his defense.

If people really wanted to leave, they'd just stop posting and...uh...LEAVE. When they post a big fucking Swan Song message, they are leaving for 5 minutes and then come back to see what everyone thinks of their skills. If Lens hadn't banned him, Aaron would have posted on this farewell thread, I'd bet money on it.

I'm not a GFY ass kisser, but this board is beautiful. If you try hard enough, you can get any question answered here. On the same token, if you try hard enough, you can let anyone offend and piss you off. Aaron chose the latter, apparently, and that has made all the difference.
