whatever the problem is, its seems to be related to thier XML which keeps going down also

jonpotz 04-02-2005 11:31 PM

whatever the problem is, its making me angry, especially when one of my sites gets picked up by a popular mainstream male magazine and they see the content but no advertising :)

I can not find anything slow or broken at this time. I have scoured all of our servers. We have been steadily adding more hardware and also tweaking our systems to get optimum performance and speed. Rest assured that this our top priority, and we will keep throwing hardware and energy at this so we can all make the maximum $$ possible !

Line Number 24, Column 20:

9th reload:
XML Parsing Error: no element found
Location: http://adultfriendfinder.com/search/...de=1&xml_req=1
Line Number 3, Column 1:

its been doing this for days and I'm pretty pissed that I barely missed the 10% bonus over it

Man I didn't know you could get XML search results.. that pretty damn cool.

Sneezy 04-03-2005 07:56 PM

the 468x60 banners with geo text are not loading either for a couple a days now. I icq-ed Sagi about it, but got no reply yet...

Can I have a geotargeted banner on one of my sites, which than I can hotlink from a third site? Is that possible????

Why would you want to do that when AFF allows you to hotlink the banners directly from their server? Regardless, the answer is no (though technically using a script that does a backend request to your server would be able to). Though you would get results for the IP of your server, not the IP of the surfer using a backend call.

I have my reasons, but I also couldn't figure out a way of doing it, thanks for your reply, now I can give up with a clear conscience ;)
