Persius 04-02-2005 06:48 PM

no one? :(

Odin88 04-02-2005 06:51 PM

tpg.com.au

Nurgle 04-02-2005 06:53 PM

tpg is the last one you would want.. look for the ones like iinet/internode and the like that offer ADSL2 at your exchange

also check out http://www.whirlpool.net.au .. has good info there

Juggernaut 04-02-2005 06:54 PM

I would suggest you do some research:
http://bc.whirlpool.net.au/bc-list.cfm?loc=1

TPG is a good choice, but it really does depend on how long you intend on using the service, and if your choice is business or personal.

BlueQuartz 04-02-2005 07:37 PM

internode is preety good
i have used them and recommend them

telstra sux , we all know that hehe

nekrom 04-02-2005 07:45 PM

Yeah haha avoid Telstra like the plague.

I'm curently with Netspace and before that was with Internode. Both fine companies.

optus is decent cable... pretty reliable... thats what i'm with..

wdforty 04-02-2005 10:15 PM

http://www.iinet.com.au/broadband/

upto 8mbit

Odin88 04-03-2005 01:58 AM

tpg is fine for me. needed unlimited fast internet access (basically everyone curves your speed after too many downloads). I signed up with tpg about a year ago and seriously have no complaints. Always fast, always on. Though I am sure if you're a heavy gamer geek or something you might find something to whinge about, I don't know.

Steen2 04-03-2005 02:00 AM

Can I move to AU?

Rhesus 04-03-2005 02:06 AM

what are you gonna do in oz if I may ask?

AdultMovies.bz 04-03-2005 02:08 AM

IPrimus is pretty good

optus cable is reliable and fast. may not be cheapest but it wont fuck up like all the adsl i have used do.

uno 04-03-2005 03:40 AM

Moving to oz?

quantum-x 04-03-2005 03:45 AM

it's good. I'm a few hundred meters from the exchange, I can get 7.8MBit.

wdforty 04-03-2005 03:47 AM

My DSLAM is getting rolled out Q2.. I can't wait.

rowan 04-03-2005 05:59 AM

I was waiting around for 4 months for Telstra to find a copper path back to the exchange... eventually they just installed DSL capable equipment in my local RIM.

Looks like I'll be stuck with Telstra for a while, unless iinet and internode are also allowed to co-locate in the local cabinet on the street. :Graucho

ClamSmacker 04-03-2005 06:03 AM

iinet is great.

imafuckingaussie 04-03-2005 06:10 AM

Hate to tell you, but dont get too excited, adsl sucks here, I have internode, but dont think you will have cable like speed, I think it's shit. You cant get anything to stream smoothly.

Yup I agree. I cry each time some mofo tells me what their plan is in EU, compared to down here. Another 10years we might have cought up.

Only compensation and its a huge one is the safe and secure place we live in!

Yah really I feel like an ass now. I bitch about having to pay £40 for 2mbit DSL.. when swedish pay $40 for 10mbit... then theres the poor aussies who pay £40-50 for a 1-8mbit connection with a cap of about 0.2mbit [download per month]

Same. Plenty of variants in Ozzie.
