what should I charge for advertising?
 

I have a few people that email from time to time and want to make offers for adspace per month. I'm just curious what's a decent/fair amount to charge for an exclusive spot on the my site.

Site gets about 600K per month and roughly 200,000 to 1.2 million pageviews per day, depending on the day. The ad would run for a month and display exclusively at the top of every page. Site is the adult/amateur niche.

What is the site? How do you do when running one of your own house accounts in the same spot? Do you make decent sales? What could an advertiser expect as far as hits?

place for people to submit their amateur pics of their wife and girlfriends, it's done very well but I have not spent the time to attract advertisers yet. I only have one in house link that is placed in a very discreat location sent to ifriends and it does between 800.00 - 1300.00 per month.

I have yet to test the actual spot most advertisers are asking for.

with 83k+ members your newsletter function within the board is probably worth more than a spot on top of the board :winkwink:

yea, I was thinking of including that in the advertising package. Everytime I send a newsletter out my servers about melt, once my latest upgrade comes I am going to try again lol..

When you reach 100k members and you've found the way of decent, good selling advertising in newsletters just add a dedicated newsletter server... it will pay itself :winkwink:
