Google is doing good but it's good to see yahoo inovate a little more these days instead of staying with what they have

i have about 70 yahoo groups, totalling around 50,000 members....they do well..i don't spam though, front page links do it good for me

been working hard on it the past few months

i had one group that was making some decent money....so, i figured why not make 50 more groups that do that same as that one..LOL

not to sound like an asshole, but I already have a ga-zillion people on my icq, ask anything you want here and I would be glad to help ya...to an extent

the main pieces of advice I give are...

update the front pages once a week

find GOOD galleries and put them up there

focus on a niche and don't make shit too general...

don't spam to get members, have members click on a text link to join your groups, when they click a text link they know exactly what they are getting into, if you spam, you get dead beat members that just wanna join as many groups as possible

if you are trying to make tons of sales for a single paysite, from yahoo groups, you are crazy...you need to seek out other forms of traffic to your paysite...while yahoo does make me some good sales, it isn't a make you rich kind of thing...each group only makes 5-10 sales a month...but those sales rebill and it adds up after a while....and when you barely have to touch them, it is a good thing...if I had to maintain them any more than once every week or two, i wouldn't do it

My biggest one had 6500 members before Yahoo killed it, neither I nor anybody else was spamming the group, it was growing with 150+ members a day. My guess is they closed it down cause had the word prostitute in the group title, I was eally pissed off back then...

that is cause yahoo shuts them down without notice....something that can't be avoided...just gotta weed through the garbage to get the gold

Apparently Yahoo likes to randomly close adult groups with no justification. BDSM and Gay groups are among the groups that are closed down most often. There's nothing you can do about it but make another page and cross yous finger....

I got like 20 good google groups registered the day they opened it up but i havent touched them yet. they get members anyhow... dunno how people find them, maybe its because i got some good names..
