Spoofing caller id wont be around much longer, I give it under a year before all phone companies in america/canada fix the problem, Stupid people pay for this service when you can do it with any cell phone etc yourself..

The service is more than just that. They also offer convenient call recording, 1-800 access numbers ( so you can use it as a calling card from any payphone )

They also offer phone numbers in any number of cities to forward to your real ocation if your into having support in another state or something :winkwink:

I would never buy a business that advertised its sale to its customers (before the sale).

Although I admire this lady's entrepreneurial venture, I must agree.

Although cute "woman owned" as a feature? I wonder if that's in Harpo's mission statement and core values too?!

I also did not realize, she's got a "Covert Call technology and website is for sale." across the top of the homepage! Publishing a thread in her community forum is damaging enough, across the homepage? I am pretty surprised.

No wonder she is selling

"All credit cards are FAILING.
Our merchant account has been shut off! :(
If you know of any good merchants, please email me: [email protected]
Thanks so much!!

Hopefully we'll back up and running by next week... Tuesday the 29th.

In the interim, you can make payments using StormPay. Send StormPay payments (minimum $50) to [email protected] and I will credit your account by hand.

Additionally, you can make payments using PayPal. Send PayPal payments (minimum $50) to [email protected] and I will credit your account by hand.
[Note: Bank funds only, credit cards through PayPal will be returned.]

Now, you can make payments using MoneyBookers. Send MoneyBookers payments (minimum $50) to [email protected] and I will credit your account by hand."

Thats not really suprising either considering she is obviously an amateur. 3/4 of the people on this board cant keep the same merchant on for over a year they just dont put a banner on the front page about it :)

Getting a merchant account isnt going to be a problem

:1orglaugh @ 3/4 ... front page remark.

In regard to the merch, why don't you buy it then? :thumbsup

Jon2 04-02-2005 02:33 AM

There is probably a reason why the merchant account was closed...

Maybe she thought that she could charge the CCs in her database and she'd get to keep the $ from all those that didn't charge back :winkwink:
