Now that the Pope has passed on, it may well be relevant to discuss the next. However, how can colour make for the next Pope being less of a Catholic? It so happens the Nigerian Cardinal, whom I assume yo speak of, has been a highly regarded advisor to Pope John Paul 11.

At least, when the Conclave make their choice, it will be theirs, and not influenced by US policy.

Heard that in the vatican there is a place that has the pictures of all the popes on the ceiling carved into the marble. And there are only 2 spots left after JPII.... that seems a bit weird.

I understood there to be only the one left which will be taken by Pope John Paul 11.
Although their has been much writing about this meaning something bad** etc - It is possible that the room could be enlarged to accomodate new pics -
