Sales tax on: product purchased on the internet (cross country Q) ?
Do I pay sales tax when I order a product from Quebec via a Washinton (state) entity to be shipped to Alberta.
Buyer: Out of country Merchant: Quebec Receiver: Alberta Normally one ordering from Quebec living in Alberta would incur the federal tax. What about when a US entity pays for it? |
I'm not sure about that connection, but I know the states are trying to get the internet tax. Always kills me when they report they are being cheated out of 'X' number of millions.
We need Clio da Pirate on da case. :arcadefre |

In your case, the goods are staying in Canada, so taxable. As an example, tourists that buy goods in Canada pay the taxes, but can claim them back when they leave the country AND when they show the goods are alse leaving .... |
