Is Georgia Institute of Technology any good?

I might be going there next semester to study.

Is it any good?

Anyone from Atlanta around here that could give me a tour of the city (seriously)?

One time bump?

Yeah, it's a good school. Especially for engineering and architecture.

I forgot-

I don't live in Atlanta but I know there are a lot of webmasters there and I think they meet sometimes. I'm sure someone would show you around. It's not a hard city to navigate. Also, "Georgia Tech" is the name the school goes by.

Thanks again Holly! You are the only one that took some time to reply to this thread!

I live a few blocks from the GT campus. The consumptionjunction office used to be located practically on campus. I have many friends that graduated from GT. It's right in Midtown Atlanta. What else do you want to know.

I want to know if I end up going there next semester will you give me a tour of the clubs and some tips of the city? And are the dorms the best (cheapest) option for living (I won't have that much money to spend)?

The problem is that I AM opening a business here in Brazil with all the savings I had, and now this oportunity came up and I would really like to live in the US for 6 months and study on a good University there, so I guess I won't have much time to work as a webmaster.

But business has never been better for me.

I don't know about dorm prices because I didn't attend there. Altough the price for apartments isn't that expensive in Atlanta. There are a ton of places right next to the campus for less than 700 a month for a 1 bedroom or studio. If you want something a bit more upscale you could get a rent a nice 1 bedroom for 850 to 1000 a month. I'm sure the dorms are the cheapest route to go. There are very small places for 500 a month or you can go with a roommate option where you might only spend 300 to 400 a month.

As far as a tour, I'm sure my girlfriend and I could show you around a bit. Most of the best places are right in Midtown anyways. I've lived in this part of town for 4 years and my girlfriend longer than that. I also have quite a few guy friends that went to GT that still live in the area that wouldn't have a problem hanging out with a 22 yr old girl from Brazil. :)

I would be happier if you said: "I have quite a few girl friends that went to GT that still live in the area that wouldn't have a problem hanging out with a 22 yr old guy from Brazil".

Dude, I'm a dude! Lol....
