Do you sell on eBay?

Anyone here sell stuff on eBay part or full time? What's selling these days for small sellers?

Barefootsies 04-01-2005 12:51 PM

Nope. I sell my junk in yard sales.

Fucking Russians.

I sell collectibles but that's really a have it or you don't kind of biz. If you're thinking of making a living you have to have a niche and a source and that's the secret everyone wished they knew!

I've got a friend who does well selling vitamins, one selling DVDs that he buys wholesale, but they both have to invest in stock to sell which isn't something I'd want to do.

What type of stuff? I've noticed the majority of sellers are large companies now.

It is not really that hard to do the research and find out what sells and what does not. Just make a list of things that you know that you can get your hands on cheap. and see how they are selling.

I don't sell on eBay but I can tell you what draws me personally to purchase something from eBay over all of the other available options: DVD boxed sets and electronics at a great price. I paid a little over $120 including S&H for the 17 disc DVD set of Space 1999 which was $199 at amazon.com for a 16 volume set missing the excellent bonus features disc. I also got the 14 volume "Are You Being Served?" boxed set combined with a 2 disc set of the reunion series "Grace and Favour" (Known as "Are You Being Served? Again!" in the U.S.) from eBay for basically the same price amazon.com charged for for the boxed set without the reunion series. If you can line up deals like that you will probably do alright on eBay, even as a late starter :thumbsup

Other than that, I shop for electronics there that I can't find locally. All of my satellite equipment the last couple years or so has came from eBay, couple of reasonable purchases and I'm watching thousands of signals for free (legally:upsidedow).
