The Pope and my laptop are dying
:Oh crap
The other night my laptop decided to freeze as it does sometimes so I unplug it and pop the battery out to reboot the piece of shit. Now when I boot the computer after it boots very slowly it takes me to the login screen with no users just the windows xp logo. I think this is the screen right before it loads the user profile accounts for you to login. I have tried to boot in safe mode and it does the same thing and ive also tried to boot with the last known settings that worked. but ended up with the same exact result.
This is interesting....i can access the shared folders of the laptop over the network while that blue xp screen is up. And I can and I have pulled all my important files off my machine via remote access.
So my question is how the fuck do I get my login screen to show up with my account so I can login? Have I been a victim of so called "hackers"
And one more thing.........the dvdr drive in the piece of shit is broken(toshiba satellite P4ht) so I cant just throw the xp cd in it. :(
