But the guy who clipped him did a stupid mistake. Once he knocked him down he turned his back on him and shrugged toward the camera.

You NEVER turn your back on an opponent especially when he's down cause sometimes a good smack can not only knock a man down or out, it could also wake him up MAD.

A) The pimp was out cold.
B) If the guy has a gun and chooses to shoot you, which way you're looking is not going to make a difference unless your eyes project a bullet-proof force field.

B. Bullshit. Facing your armed opponent is a better strike solution than having your back turned. Close enough you can disarm him or better draw your gun and shoot.

It wasn't a smack, nor was it a forearm smash. It was a knifehand strike to the carotid artery which causes instant knockout/loss of consciousness if done properly.

I remember when it came out and one of the students of that instructor witnessed the whole thing. Another interesting fact about it was that the pimp was smacking his hoe in front of a martial arts school full of cops doing training with the karate instructor. The karate instructor went out to show how "effective" the knifehand was to the LEO's as well as stopping the hoe beatdown.

That's an old reliable strike and definitely important strike zone. Works on animals too!

If you know what you're doing, especially if you've done Kung Fu training, you learn that it's the slightest and most accurate motion that gains the two effects:

stopping for a moment or stopping forever.

Only problem with this strike is that it is only good on a static or staitionary opponent. Once combat starts, movement prevents getting such a clean strike. Since the pimp was granstanding and trying to be the man, he got KTFO.

Though, even missing close to the mark still makes you woozy. I remember the first time I got hit with that, it wasn't fun not being able to use my legs.

I heard that! I've never suffered a hit in that zone. I have a thick neck and a hard fucking head. I've broken more guy's hands and forearms from them taking a shot to my neck or noggin' than I can shake a stick at.

I learned that from Roberto Duran. Getting hit in the face alot makes you kinda immune.

Guys make the mistake of closed fist strike to the head and you end up with two results: hurt or broken hand.
