I don't believe so. I read something a long time ago about how he was a big rugby player, etc before he turned to the church. Seemed to indicate that he lived a 'normal' life up until then.

I'd say he's a virgin. For one, he must have grown up in a completely devout Catholic family and must have had to adhere to every rule in the faith in order to be elected the Pope. As others have mentioned, sex outside of wedlock is considered a no-no.
