Small paysite owners/program owners: How to promote your site/program (mini-Article)

Hopefully, this could be of some help to those who have a small program/paysite.

For free traffic generation tips, see my traffic blog at http://justtraffic.blogspot.com

Rule #1 -- you should already have traffic of your own. This is key since you can't expect affiliate marketing to take your business to the next level if you haven't optimized your sites to convert yet. Optimizing requires your own generated traffic helping you 'sculpt' your tours/email responses and user experience.

Some ideas re getting webmaster affiliates for paysite programs (based on commonly used approaches):

1) hold a contest

2) boost payouts temporarily

3) post new model/new site updates

4) announce partnerships with major recognized high rollers in the biz

5) buy small ad spots at webmaster submit areas

6) sig posts that are interesting/on point.

7 ) submit to adult webmaster resource sites

8) write a press release and submit to xbiz pimpcafe, etc etc

9) partner up with bigger programs for BIG CONTESTS or to co-sponsor a party at the webmaster meets

Rule #2

There's a big difference between BRANDING and ACTUAL ACQUISITION. You can't be impatient. It takes webmasters some time to trust your program for them to actually sign up. So the key is to keep branding. This takes time.
Don't view this as lost time since you can use this time to continuously fine tune your sites' conversions/promo materials.

Good article....Another way is to just keep hanging out year after year. There are a LOT of lurkers who click sigs. I've had people email me and say that they saw me due to lurking on GFY.

As long as you stay consistent and show that you're not going out of business anytime soon and keep bringing it week after week, year after year. Eventually you will build up trust.

Oh and see sig....
