Just watched his press conference on CNN.

Holy shit he is an idiot. Had he even sort of paid attention to the public opinion on the Chivo case?

What a puppet.

It's alright, he's gone soon. Even the GOP can't hide his corruption and hypocrisy, the WSJ has even started reporting on it.

Yep it's ok for HIM to do it but not others. The whole republican party is full of hypocrisy. That's why I left is years ago. If they are for LES government in peoples lives, then how come they are repeatedly trying to get the government MORE involed in our personal lives?

Sooner the better. I stood there with my mouth open listering to his spin on this.

He placed direct blame on the court system. All 34 judges that seen this case failed and were wrong. Including the Supreme Court. Every poll showing that the government should not be involved by huge margins are wrong. Totally thumbing his nose at the system that are countrys legal system is based on. Delay says the court system its broken and the judges were corrupt.

The courts are the last thing that the GOP doesn't/can't control. They're the only "checks and balances" the neo-cons have left. I fear that they were trying to use this Schiavo case as an excuse to start marginalizing the courts and grab even tighter control over the American people. The only thing I can say is THANK GOD the people aren't stupid enough to let it happen.

After the next terrorist attack against America, look for them to somhow use it to take power away from judges.

but of course, in Tom Delay's case, nobody was disputing his fathers wishes, there was a DNR, his father was going to die with or without life support, and with it.. it would have been significantly more than just a feeding tube.

the only idiots in this story are the morons bringing it up for comparative purposes.

They only want less government when it comes to Corporate laws and restrictions that protect consumers in this country.

Everything else, they want MUCH more government.
