This time of the year the sharks are migrating north (off the coast of Georgia and South Carolina) and its not uncommon to have a beach shut down for a day or so every other week.
Interestingly enough, Florida has the most shark attacks in all the world. I would have thought Cali or Australia but nope, its Florida!

That was up in deerfield beach

I was in the water on sunday off Ft Lauderdale and not a shark to be seen

and they are all gone now btw
