PornValley Butterfly Invasion

Is it just me or are there alot of these things today?

I mean alot of them, gonna get some pics.
Anyone else notice them?

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 03-30-2005 01:06 PM

Guess not...

I assume that by PornValley, you're referring to the SFV.

I just went out to skim my pool, and didn't notice a single one.

Might just be a hatch out in your area.

Also, it's a little windy where I'm at, which may also play a part in them not being here.

I don't have a problem with them - just noticed that they were out in full force today :winkwink:

evanmorgan 03-30-2005 02:17 PM

oh yeah, those are those killer butterflys right?

Don/Atlas 03-30-2005 02:20 PM

Actually they are called Painted Lady butterflies and they are on their migration north to California's central valley. Literally millions of them can be seen flying from the southeast to the northwest starting in the morning peaking at around lunch time.

my search led to this gem: nothing to do with butterflies tho :I

We just shot in Mojave which is about 60 miles north of here - and my windshield was completely covered by the time we got there.

My girl and i have notcied this for the last week or so.. Its seems kinda insane, I have never seen this many of them down here.. Up in Pacific Grove for the Monarch butterfly season its not uncommon but I have lived down here my whole life and this is the most I have ever seen..

SetTheWorldonFire 03-30-2005 10:36 PM

one of my homeboys woke up to a swarm of bees the other morning

he shot some video of it and you can hear the buzz pretty load. There was a grip of them.
