You broke ass fuckers are just as much to blame...

For these fucking contest threads... Maybe if you put the same effort you do with these bullshit threads into something worthwhile you'll actually make some fucking money.

I've wondered about the effectiveness of contest threads myself. I'm sure there are a ton of freeloading worthless bottom-suckers that are just there to win money, but do these threads really bring in the worthwhile affiliates that can send traffic and signups to your program?

I don't know, can it really be worth giving out $10k?

I just figured there must be something to it, otherwise why would there be so many such threads?

Well sometimes the threads get closed. Thus voiding the contests. Other times theres gimicks or other schemes to giving away the green. I have a feeling many of these threads dont really cost that much... ;)

Wouldn't the really smart legitimate owners check with Lensman and his team before launching a contest thread on this board?

I always thought so, anyway. It's what I would do.

Well let me tell you something.
You can checkout all our contest threads, we have paid even for the contests that have been closed by GFY, and when we say $10,000 you can get even more then that if you will follow the rules of the contest, there is no gimicks or other schemes as you think. I can't say anything about the rest of the contests, that other programs are running, I haven't really checked them all out, but I can say that for every contest PussyCash was running.

And I can also tell you that when ever we are having a big promotion, like the $100 per signup, or the 50% Bonus periods, we see an amazing increase in webmaster signups as well as end users signups. I'm sure that this is due to the promotion and not due to the contest, but the main point is that without the contest, we would not be able to make sure that every webmaster got the chance to see the promotion! :2 cents:

why?

It increases the post count on his board

Thats what he wants after all

Relish XXX 03-30-2005 11:27 AM

Design contest threads are well worth it. I have used 3 designers who submitted entries into design contest threads. They may not have won the thread but they did end up with over $5k of work from me between them.

So yes design contest threads are well worth even if the designer loses.

Isn't it just common courtesty to let the board owner know if you plan to light up his forum with a promotional stunt from a competitor program?

You forget, Lens runs a few proggies of his own.

I dont know maybe im missing somthing but he wants most of all for this board is to increase the overall post count

So the contests do exactly that. Im not sure if he is concerned about competeing proggies as he is such a huge program anyway

:2 cents:
