how much does income drop in the summer months?

This is my first real consistant year, so I'm curious.

Percentage points, traffic numbers, and time frames will be appreciated.

Say I make $1000 a week right now - what months can I expect it to drop, and how much?

I see no significant change. Just 'differences'.

Wolfy 03-30-2005 06:06 AM

differences? like sponsors pay you with blue checks instead of white checks in the summer...

You'll get lots of strong opinions about *summer slowdown*
Mine is only based on stats since 1998,I see about a 20% drop in sales once the weather in the US gets nice.

I spend less time working inside too.So I imagine that if you make more of an effort during the summer you can coast right through.

That's actually my main reason for the thread - I'm wondering how much I'll be able to fuck off :D

If u got serious traffic, you wont notice any difference. The numbers just average themselves out and there is little change if any.

not if you have a good program steady members base and good retention, just spread the affiliates you promote, make sure you promote the 60% 29,95 or pps guys not the 25% 9,95 sites, sites that update every week, excl content only and no not only dutchteencash has that, just search there are a lot of guys who do the same and make great programs to promote, if you need a hand hit me up 16 91 547 glad to help!

My theory is summer slowdown does exist, but it's evened out in the grand scheme of things by all those people that have vacation time from work and nothing to do but......

Wolfy 03-30-2005 06:53 AM

So far I get the impression I'm gong to have an awesome summer then - anybody out ther with different opinions?

swedguy 03-30-2005 08:17 AM

It depends what kind of traffic sources you have. I haven't seen a summer slowdown for 4 years. Only the last year I saw a slight decrease, but I think it had more to do with that I hadn't worked for half a year+.

kowntafit 03-31-2005 12:20 AM

why does this income drop happen anyway?

venus 03-31-2005 12:22 AM

well at that income level, I would suspect you to be owing in by the end of summer :)
