This show could get old fast, or be awesome 3 years from now.

the usa version SUCKS

the uk version is the funniest shit ever

I saw about 10 minutes of the UK one on cable a few days ago and I didn't like it. Maybe it's the British humor that us American's don't get, or I didn't watch enough of it.

my wife used to hate british humor, til she gave it a chance and watched a few things...now she abolsutely LOVES it

They try too hard at being funny. :(

Steve Carrel carries it, without him it might sink fast

The US version is an exact word for word copy on most of the things, that made it the lamest show on TV

Dont really care what some of you British-humping geeks say about U.S. Office... Yes british humor can be funny, perfect example is Shaun of the Dead, and The Office... But steve carrell hits the bullseye on this show, funny as hell, great, unique cast(anyone notice the creepy guy from Six Feet Under, the one who got his Stapler Jello'd).... Overall I love it already, can't wait to see more.

havent seen the US version but the UK version is funny as hell.
But yeah i think the lead character really is holding the whoel show up.

He's got the real Gareth Hale type sense of humour

Two of my former classmates from highschool are on the show. I haven't watched it yet but there names in real life are John Krazinsky and BJ Novak.

BJ was also in MTV's Punk'd

No, if you've seen the other one, you'd hate this one. Its an exact fucking copy. They said word for word, used the same exact situations, it just plain sucked.

i shut the tv right off i thought it was fucking stupid (usa) version.

the usa version isnt funny, it's a word for word copy but with jokes exaggerated, which makes them more obvious but less funny

Never saw the US version, all I know is that the Office is one of the funniest shows of the past years (after The Fast Show)

Well of course the UK version is better. The British do that brand of humor better than anyone. Ricky Gervais is simply brilliant in every single episide of the original (even in the Christmas lookback episode)

But the US version is actually funny, and it's because of Steve Carrel.

That said, it will DIE a death in the ratings. Too slow and subtle for American audiences.

I was able to catch it on tv one time and I almost fell on the chair laughing!
