Why do people pay $600 for a listing on Yahoo?
My sites have been showing up as search results for Yahoo for free. Granted I dont get a lot of hits, but I do get some.
Does paying for a listing mean that your listing will show up more often in searches? |
the traffic you see most probably comes from google. Yahoo asks $600 to review an adult site for listing it. It doesnt mean it will be listed. I don't think it worths to spend the amount of money in most of the times. Bright exceptions:

Yes, paying for a listing means you come up closer to the top of the results, therefore you can get more traffic.

I'm sure getting listed in Yahoo would be well worth 600, even the chance. But is there any criteria other than links working plenty of content, etc. Meaning, can you get listed if you dont run a paysite. Can you get listed with a free site, or avs?

I'd pay 600$ for a Yahoo Listing.
But paying 600$ for a review just to get diclined - no way (in most cases you get an answer: no original content - or smthg like that) ------------------ http://www.data-techniques.net/cwm/c...v/asthanos.gif I make money with these sponsors: TrafficCash OffshoreClicks |

if your site has the word boneprone in it, it seems to get listed just fine.
