David Lace Content...does anyone buy from them?

Back in January I bought some content from David Lace and they overcharged my credit card. They acknowledged the mistake and offered me a store credit, which I turned down; they didn't have anything else I was interested in. As an alternative, they offered to send me a refund check...sounds great. I have sent them several emails and spoken to someone on icq about it as well. This was 10 weeks ago and still nothing. It's not a large sum of money, but it's the principle...

Has anyone else had this experience with David Lace Content?

Yes, we have purchased from them in the past , but didnt have the problem you are experiencing. Good luck :thumbsup

Kassidy 03-28-2005 02:17 PM

I hadn't ever had a problem with them before either. I have purchased from them a few times and, despite their small photo sizes, I've always been happy with their quick service. This has been frustrating :(

I used to work for David Lace a few years ago....it was a bad experience. Good luck getting your money back :(

NaughtyRob 03-28-2005 02:45 PM

Good luck.
Hit me up for very high quality content and I'll make you a great deal to make up for what they did.
:pimp

Edit: I just noticed you mentioned photo sizes. Almost all of ours are 1200 in size. We have thousands of sets, surely what you are looking for.

beemk 03-28-2005 02:48 PM

one of my friends had a hard time getting a refund with them and had to do a chargeback

Kassidy 03-28-2005 02:56 PM

polish_aristocrat 03-28-2005 03:58 PM

i think that's one of the biggest content providers

or at least they were big when i was starting in adult 3 years ago

DutchTeenCash 03-28-2005 04:00 PM

LONG ago and it was a pain, do a cb

aico 03-28-2005 04:01 PM

I used them 1 time, ordered some photos and videos. One of the videos was this piece of crap MTV like thing with more special effects than Tron, so I asked if I could exchange that video for something more useful, after 3 attempts and not hearing back I just gave up and moved on, haven't used them since.

Kevsh 03-28-2005 04:37 PM

Just call Visa/MC (whoever you used) and ask for a chargeback. If you have a receipt or invoice they'll do it in a heartbeat showing the error. Also send them the correspondance, if they need it.

DaLord 03-28-2005 05:09 PM

His content is like watching an episode of Miami Vice.

Sassy Girl 03-28-2005 05:15 PM

I buy from Lace. I've never had a problem. He hasn't gone out of business. I just purchased a few sets from him last week.

Thanks! That thread reminded me that I bought all those sets but had not used them all :error

dirtydesignz 03-28-2005 05:38 PM

We've bought from DL quite a few times and never had a bad eperience, as a matter of fact, it was always fast and easy :)

Kimmykim 03-28-2005 05:39 PM

My only suggestion is that you get copies of releases and IDs for everything you buy.

TheSenator 03-28-2005 05:42 PM

I bought his whole content collection back in 2000. He overnighted my shit and gave me a super huge discount. A lot of the content for sale is really old.

Clovis 03-28-2005 06:14 PM

never recieved content

I never recieved content that I ordered from them. They responded to some of my emails with promises to send but I never recieved it.

vcity 03-28-2005 08:02 PM

check out www.jvcontent.com - quality content/service for a great price!

BradShaw 03-28-2005 08:09 PM

Good luck, Lace has cost me a small fortune in legal bills.

digifan 03-28-2005 08:21 PM

I have never had any problem with them.

Kassidy 03-29-2005 12:24 AM

Thanks for the info everyone. I just got the 'the check is in the mail' comment from him this afternoon...ya right, I'll believe that when I see it.

At least I know I'm not the only one who's had a problem with these guys.

I do not wish to bash David in any way......David was VERY good to me a few years back and I will never forget that.

With that said.....Kimmykim mentioned getting ID's and releases from David for a reason. There is a fairly well known case pending against David and a couple of others that stems from a model who did a "test" shoot but never signed a release then the photos ended up getting sold.

If I were you, I would contact somebody and figure out if you have any sets of that model in your collection before you end up named in another lawsuit. :2 cents:

I am not going to discuss any of the other particulars of this case here but if you are interested, I can put you in touch with people that may be willing and able to assist you with this. Hit me up on ICQ if you like. 130-823-758
