What's your experience with Verotel?

We're thinking of using them as our second processor.:helpme
We're currently using CCBill..

ffmihai 03-28-2005 11:54 AM

you tried the search function?

vicki 03-28-2005 12:01 PM

Why not try your own merchant account instead?

Have only good to say about them. Never late with payments, very good support (except from weekends).

You can't go past Verotel, they convert sales great, never late with payments. I have been using them for 4 years now... :thumbsup

andrej_NDC 03-28-2005 05:52 PM

almost non-existant email support + non customizable join pages, no option to use different pricing options and link to each of them, etc...

pornguy 03-28-2005 05:55 PM

Used them for some time, never had a problem with them.

Verotel has been great for me. One peice of advice, if you do any volume at all go Pro, have heard a lot of complaints from ticketsclub users that it "feels" like a cheap AVS system. PRO has lower fees and is presented better to customers. Worth the fees for anyone serious about the biz.

kmanrox 03-28-2005 08:31 PM

why use a company that everyone says is on the verge of collapse? epoch and ccbill are the way to go... albeit that i would have said ibill a couple of years ago too, look what happened to them... either way, myself, id use epoch and ccbill

Pornwolf 03-28-2005 08:56 PM

It's impossible to say who's goin down next. They did outlast IBill which no one expected. They are also playing with a different set of offshore rules. I dunno if that's good or bad.

their anti fraud system suck, the chargebacks percent is higher than other processers beacause ppl use stolen credit cards to singup.

What a idiot....so not true

Dailydiapers 03-29-2005 02:28 PM

No chargeback issues here with Verotel. Have a 1.4% chargeback ratio right now, and usually under 1%

shermo 03-29-2005 02:43 PM

I convert well with it, but it's not my favorite system for checking stats on.

E-mail support has gotten better over the years but if you ever experience a problem I suggest trying (a) the phone (b) live chat.

Join pages are customizable with Verotel PRO but not with TicketsClub so let's split the difference and say you're half right.

There IS an option to link to each price option if you want it that way; otherwise you can opt for one signup button for all pricing options - the choice is yours. :winkwink:

so you changed it, because when I used verotel, I had only one join page option(with or without a banner) with all prices. If its the other way now, thats good news.:)

Well as I indicated, you can have it both or either way: normally you would have one main Verotel account with one sub-account (which we call websites) under which you can set several different pricing options. However, if you want to have a separate button for each price then what you would need to do is to setup a separate sub-account (website) for each price option. So for example, if you had 10 different pricing options you would create 10 different websites (sub-accounts) and then under each sub-account you would only configure one price option.

Most people configure all price options under one website (sub-account) and only use one button for all price options. :winkwink:

And what is also very noteable is that NATS v2 released very very soon supports Verotel! (Already testing Verotel integration and its working good.)

The good
They always pay on-time
They are still here

The not so good
Higher charge-backs ?from my experience?
Can?t cascade your billing
Support is average at best ?well at least it was when I pulled my join links down 6 months back?
