To Blog or Not to Blog??? -- That is the Question
 

We are considering creating a blog to promote our paysites and increase buzz and retention among members and surfers.

To those of you that have blogs already -- where is the best place to put the blog -- in the members area as a bonnus benefit of membership? Outside on the front of the sites to draw surfers inside? Or put the blog under a totally different domain altogether and not have it on the actual paysite?

also what benefits if any have you found that blogs bring your sites -- traffic, trades, sign ups?

I'd use it as part of the free tour, as an updates/announcements page, along with cross linking it with as many other blogs as possible

I'd put it on a separate domain.

i.e. your site is 'hotteenbabes.xyz'

your blog could be 'teenbabeexplorer.xyz' or 'teenbabeblog.xyz'

why even question this? why not just do it, they are easy to set up

i make at least 3-4 new blogs a week...if not more

Anything to make surfers bookmark and come back to it. If they don't sign up for your site the first time, give them something to want to come back to that's free until they do sign up.

lighten up..i was just stating my opinion that it is a silly question to ask...blogs are simple, you can have a full blog with tons of articles in a matter of an hour....just do it...they work nicely in SE's...starting something new can NEVER hurt you..even if it fails, you still learned from it
