I just had some crappy news.......
Ive been feeling bad for a while.... Ive put on 2 stone (about 30lbs), always sweating, thirsty and peeing.
I dont know why I didnt put 2 + 2 together before and realise it could be diabetes, fucking stupid in my position. Anyway, it all clicked this morning so I went to the hospital and had some bloods done. It is probably diabetes, I need a couple more tests to confirm, but it is 90% certain. Im really pissed off........ :( Its going to mean some massive lifestyle changes, and Ive really just settled back down after moving back here from New Zealand. Oh well..... |
Sorry to hear about that, my stepdad was just diagnosed. But now he's actually healthier because of his lifestyle change so there could be a positive out of this. Good luck.
|
That is bad news, but you can get through it. Keep your head up and adapt your lifestyle so you can move past this.
|
sorry to hear that but maybe it will do you some good, so you can live a longer, healthier life :)
|
ohmy.
Best of luck to you. Time to make some serious lifestyle changes. |
Thanks :)
Guess I had better change those words under my name and my location Thats what I am going to miss the most |
Sorry to hear that, but do take care of it the right way. If you are a soda drinker, at the very least switch to diet, if not stopping them all together.
|
keep your head up. Now you'll have to change your lifestyle and very soon you'll be in better health than before.

My father was diagnosed a few years ago with Diabetes.
Since then his mother and 3 of his siblings and 2 of my cousins have also been diagnosed. I'm just waiting for my number to be called now as well. |
Also...as someone mentioned, your lifestyle changes will probably have you better off in the long run.
Everyone I mentioned is actually feeling better and more healthy since their diagnosis. |
How old are you?
If not acient it will mean a life style change and some drugs, then you will be better that you are today I hope. |
Sorry to read the news about your condition, damian. Good luck with the diet and lifestyle changes.
|
sorry to hear that.
i'm not diabetic but I had some serious stomach problems, I was to the point where I could hardly eat cause everytime I ate anything I'd throw it back up, I was so sick I couldn't even really have a social life, I never felt well enough to go anywhere or do anything. Then the Dr. gave me some pills that helped a little I was finally able to keep some food down, but I still didn't feel really good. Then a couple months ago I stopped eating refined sugar, just totally cut it out of my diet to lose a few pounds, and within a week my stomach problems stopped, now i'm not spending $300. a month on pills, I can eat, and I can enjoy life again. You couldn't pay me to eat anything with sugar again, and I really don't crave it anymore. ...anyway just saying this to let ya know that you'll get used to the change in your lifestyle and when you start to feel better all the changes will be so worth it to you. good luck and hope you feel better real soon! |
good luck with everything.
|
that's really sad news.
let's just hope for the best that it's not diabetes. everything will be alright... ;) |
