WTF Sony ordered to halt PS2 sales in U.S!
 

Sony lost a patent infringement lawsuit, have to pay damages and cease PS2 sales!

ouch, well they don't have to halt them while it is still in court.

ouch....if they lose that will hurt and you will see a new rash of lawsuits coming out of the woodwork.

imagine if they cease ps2 sales they will lose a lot lot of money

i don't think they will suffer in the US. PS2 has been out for more than a year now. Surely, Xbox will take advantage of this crisis.

PS2 sales have been slowing up for the past few months now, while the XBox has hit it's stride and sales numbers grow.

This "generation" is just about over and the new consoles are just on the horizon.

Hopefully, this lawsuit won't have any effect on the future.

See! I was just on my way to buy a PS2 and this shit happens. Can you imagine what'll happen on Ebay when the PS2s are pulled??? The backlog will go up in price til and IF the new PS3 etc. comes out.

Toshiba got hit with a similar judgement. Crazy millions. If Sony did swipe somebody's shit they deserve to get a kick in the ass.
