Strange how a search for "yahoo" on google only shows the yahoo domain , and not anyone else. :upsidedow

Its not the total results displayed its the actual pages that show up

The other 292 million pages show up as irrelevant

Actually he made that thread because of a link i posted , things have changed since yesterday , yesterday the were doing the same thing to hundreds of terms like ( mmilf pics ) only showed 89 results now its back to normal.

Only yahoo looks like that now.

There is , for "displayed" pages..


Heres the main difference, Show me any term on any search engine that only shows results from one domain ( without actually searching by domain )

example..

search keyword "msn" on google , you will find alot more pages than just msn

search keyword "lycos" on google , you will find alot more pages than just lycos

Search keyword "yahoo" on google , its the only search that only shows 62 results and only for yahoo domain..


Do the same thing on each of those search engines for each of the other search engines terms..

Like i said , he made that thread because of a post i already made.

I certainly appreciate the "kudo's" when i post good things on gfy , but i certainly dont claim to be the best or smartest person here by any stretch of the imagination.

And to further explain why i made this thread,

When azguy posted the strange delimiter thread the other day , google was doing the same thing to hundreds of search terms ( limiting them to very small numbers )

Today i was doing more research on it and discovered they have already changed it again, and now the only search term i notice it happening to is "yahoo", yesterday it was "milf pics"

do a search with inurl: then you get relevant results

That might work , but doesnt really explain why google is only doing it to yahoo ?

You can notice the same shit on lot of terms today again

Any in particular ?

Normally they show all results for them.

On the 100 i tested, i cant get more than 750 to 850 results before hitting the filter.

In that theory , a search for google or MSN or LYCOS , should only show similar results , but they dont they show hundred and hundred of results.

is google were to spider all of Yahoo there'd be millions upon milllions of useless results and search pages for every possible term. Why would they bother wasting their spiders and their storage space?

I think your missing the point. No other domain but yahoo is listed when you search for "yahoo"

This is the only search term i have ever found that does this..

All the other yahoo results would show up under " NOT RELEVENT"

Im taking about relevent results. You cant tell me there no site on the internet that has keyword "yahoo" in it that isnt yahoo

Nah i think its some strange glitch because other keywords were doing this 2 days ago , that arent doing it anymore

Also, try searching for "Yahoo!" (the actual name of the search engine) vs "Yahoo"

its like random for me now
