I have to admit I don't know a lot about search engine optimization.... but how are sites on Ebay people are selling have a page rank of 3 when the site is not even developed, and when I do a search in google, very little is found??? Any ideas?

Ignore PR - its not that important anymore...............despite what SEO`s wanna tell you. Im PR3 and number one for all my keywords in google...........above all the PR6-7 sites.

Pr is like altavista.. some people know it's there, it used to be worth looking at, but now it's just a pile of useless crap.

Results make you money.

PR does not equal results.

(I have PR2 sites that come up above my own PR4 sites for certain terms.)

Conclusion - fuck PR.

Yep, PR is dick all right. Getting a PR 3 is a piece of piss, a single link from a PR 4 page usually does it.

Concentrate on good quality links from relevant (hopefully 'authority') sites

if the links leading to that site are the owners links, he'll take them down when the site has been sold so it'll lose its pr anyway
