Why don't affiliate programs run their own TGPs?

I wonder how long it will take before affiliate programs start launching their own TGPs, and adding them to their "Promo Tools" section.

What is the need for outside TGP traffic? Why not start your own traffic network?

bringer 03-27-2005 03:47 AM

who says they dont?

Tat2Jr 03-27-2005 03:48 AM

I run many many TGPs beyond my Affiliate Program... I'm sure I'm not the only one... that would be crazy.

Do you list your TGPs in your affiliate program, and give affiliates partner accounts?

Mike Dutch 03-27-2005 03:50 AM

We run tgp's ans traffic resources like askjolene and have sponsorprograms

Manowar 03-27-2005 03:50 AM

lightspeed cash have their own tgp for promotion by affiliates, and i know TCG have their own but its not promoteable

quite a few sponsors have hosted tgps

Roald 03-27-2005 03:51 AM

ive seen a few programs that let you send to their url with your ref id and its nothing but their program
ive also seen programs that take submissions and give out partner accounts to big affiliates

Nope. They are all fake (Don't have time to run a real one). Loaded with my 700 hosted galleries, and everyone elses.

Interesting. I wonder why it's not the standard. Alot of the affiliate programs that I have accounts with, only have FHGs or banners, and that's about it for the marketing tools. You would think they would make nearly everything available, to give the affiliate the widest spectrum of possibilities so that they can promote them in different ways.

shermo 03-27-2005 03:57 AM

You'd be surprised at how many TGP's ARE run by large companies. Who do you think owns Sublime DIrectory and their network of sites? Do a whois. :)

Smut 03-27-2005 03:59 AM

I guess my question is this... Why not incorporate the TGP into the affiliate program, if you run a program & TGPs, it would make sense to open up partner accounts to your affiliates and plug them into the program, for easy access/submissions.

Pornwolf 03-27-2005 04:01 AM

Nasty was built on the backs of their TGP's if I'm not mistaken.

webgurl 03-27-2005 04:02 AM

correct extremepaychecks :) nastydollars/bangbros/epiccash LOTs DO

Jace 03-27-2005 04:03 AM

yo, re-read his question you all...you are missing his question all together

Digipimp 03-27-2005 04:12 AM

it's much easier to have your affiliates do all of the footwork and you can just shave them 20% on their stats

We're just finishing putting together our first 2 www.teenangelsexposed.com and www.dreamteenstgp.com

We plan to use it (once traffic is nice and high) to reward affiliates with ad free spots, etc.

zentz 03-27-2005 08:14 AM

they own them

GoodStuff 03-27-2005 09:39 AM

Well let's see let's give an affiliate half of the money to post galleries to our own tgps instead of taking all of the money off our own traffic.

Let's think reall hard on that one.

THE IDEA IS TO GET AFFILIATES THAT HAVE ALTERNATIVE TRAFFIC SOURCES THAT THEY DON"Y ALREADY TAP.

They do. Believe me

iwantchixx 03-27-2005 09:44 AM

You'll find that most programs have their own traffic generating network which in most cases includes a handful of TGPs.

Look at bangbros, twistys, nubiles etc.

Which TGP owns or is owned by Nubiles. That's a great site. I know the others.

NaughtyRob 03-27-2005 10:43 AM

Nasty dollars ahead of the curve, they released this a long time ago.
