Ramen - Fork or Spoon?
My wife and I eat Ramen once in awhile and she always uses a spoon, is it just me or is that just fucking wierd? i watch to fight to get noddles in her spoon and just shake my head the entire time.
So do you use a Fork or Spoon? |
fork...
then drink the juice from the bowl. |
Imposible to eat with a spoon. But can eat with only a fork. So I'd say either both or with chop sticks. Chop sticks work the best because you can shove a mouth full of noodle in and then in a quick sucking action pull the noodles into your mouth and broth will follow.
It's a time tested Asian technique. Not recommended for rookies. |
Fork, very little juice is the way I like my Ramen

haha my wife got mad when i read her the replies :) Lets get some more replies to show her haha

Then again I can order the same ramien with 4 shrimp, five cents in veggies, served in a nice bowl for 14.95 to 29.95 at a nice place. hmm oh the choices. |
I use a spoon, but then I also drain all the liquid.
|
Drain all the liquid and put in a can of tuna and some mayo. Season with salt and pepper to taste...excellent!
We used to do that in college. We would even put Cheetos, cheese whiz, sun chips, and salsa in it. Good shit! Sounds gross but give it a shot. It's a $2 meal that can feed 3 people. :thumbsup |
And eat with bread..sorry. I forgot that part.

The Zen of Train Station Ramen
You haven't tasted Ramen until you've stood outside a Tokyo train station late at night after a heavy night of drinking, and eaten at one of the portable ramen stands.
You pick your ingredients, and then they prepare it in front of you piping hot. I usually add diced green onions, some beef slices, and a raw egg, which quickly cooks in the hot broth. Of course you use chopsticks, and make sure you slurp that broth nice and loud...just be sure that you aren't so drunk that you burn the shit out of the roof of your mouth. Oh yes, then you make sure you catch the last train... ADG Webmaster |
