Hum could someone explain whats happening here? She is braindead with no food for about a week or what? Sorry I'm not very into news so could someone please tell me whats going on? :)

the family and courts are fighting to decide if she can be allowed to die or not,as her husband wants to end her suffering but some of the family want her to remain alive .

Shes brain dead, but her parents say she occasionally responds to certain stuff. 7 years after she went into her vegetible state her husband decides his wife says she wouldnt want to be keep alive artifically. and the parents want to keep her alive.. shes has no food or water for 9 days and shes down to her last hours according to news reports.

When the body isn't burning many calories; and, in her case, she's not..it could take a while for all of her systems to wind down....even though her brain processes is fighting to adapt and survive.....

It's not about the calories, she will die of dehydration waaaaaaaaaaay before.

I dont really know what's going on ...
But why dont they end it more "peacefully" rather than allowing the body to break down like that?

imagine being in that state, and having your face all over the media :(

1) She can't imagine anything.
2) She can't feel anything.

because they kept throwing Dr. Kevorkian in jail when he attempted that...

Euthanasia is illegal, as is assisted suicide. Thanks religious people! :(

This is the natural way for her to die. God having his way and all that.
