I dont think America has forgotten, I think people are just starting to wise up. They are starting to realise that the war is just playing into the terrorist's hands.

But on a related topic, after 9/11 the focus was on hunting bin Laden and getting those responsible for 9/11. Bin Laden is still out there. That's where the "war" should be.

I would have assumed that they were strongest at the point where they were openly running training camps in Sudan, Afghanistan and eslewhere under the worlds nose and openly recruiting people to train there and later commit terrorist acts. When they were commiting terrorist acts and world governments had a policy to try to arrest and try them in court rather than decimate them to the core. To say Al Queda is stronger than ever, shows that you have a poor grasp of the situation. When a group can't communicate, can't move money, can't hide in other coutries, can't travel and are now actively being hunted and taken down... it would be hard to prove the case that they are stronger than before 9/11.

What acts of terror has this new and improved and according to you "stronger than ever" group of terrorists commited in the US since 9/11? (i can help you with a hint - its a number more than -2 and less than 1)
