bloggers do you have trackbacks turned on
 

Just wanted to bring up trackbacks on blogs. If you can avoid comment spam these are a very important thing to take advantage of when blogging and i see many newer blogs are all together ignoring its usefulness.

I'd rather not watch the video... but can you explain what the point of trackbacks are and how they work? Never quite understood their usefulness, and it seems that blogs that used to have them don't anymore...

ok sorry ive been drinking so if this is trash excuse me. Say i go to your blog, and you are writting about something that viewers on my blog might find interesting. When i tell my viewers about your article, it pings your site letting you know someone has mentioned you. In return for mentioning your site/article, a snippet from my post will be included in your pages comments. This more or less provides a link exchange, and i think that the traffic from two similar blogs is quite targetted. ok back to my beer.
